Georgian Downs - Innisfil, Ontario

If you are looking for a unique outing with your family - this is it! Watching the horses race around the track is entertaining for all ages and if they are lucky, the kids may even get to see one or two of the horses up close. We have taken our daughter a few times and were lucky enough to have one of the drivers bring a horse over to see her. She was absolutely thrilled to pet her!

Cost: Free to watch the races - only need money for food and for betting purposes if the adults are wishing to place bets.

Time Spent: Races last just under 2 minutes usually and are about 15 minutes apart. The number of races varies by night. Our advice is to check for the program ahead of time to see how many races there are: http://www.georgiandowns.com/calendar.html On average, we spend 2-3 hours but it really depends on the attention span of your kids

Highlights: Petting the horses (does not always happen but when it does it's wonderful!)

Wagon/Stroller Accessible? Mostly. There are a few stairs you will have to lift the stroller down but not many. We have taken our stroller without any problems.

Change tables, bathrooms & nursing stations: Bathrooms are easily accessible, no nursing station available - there is a change table in the women's washroom.

Availability of food: Currently, there is a Montanas food truck on the premises! In the past there was a concession stand as well but it has not been open the last two times we have gone.

Things to note: There is a ton of room outside for the kids to run around and stretch their legs (great if you are looking for a short stop while traveling - stay for a race or two then had out!), Georgian Downs is not usually too busy so it's easy to get up close to the track!
